Top 5 Tech Trends To Look Out For in 2017

We spoke to tech expert and Harvey Norman Store Manager, Aaron De Gasperi, to pick his brain on what technology trends we should be on the look out for in 2017.

See his top 5 picks below.

1. The Modern PC

The future of computers is here - meet The Modern PC!

The Modern PC is thinner, lighter and faster! It ups the ante in every way, from form to function and all the innovations in between. Modern PCs are packed with the power to keep up with — and even surpass — your most demanding tasks.

2. Mirrorless Cameras

It was the established order of things that if you were a photographer, you were to shoot from a DSLR. But the mirror mechanism of a DSLR is complex and noisy and adds to the weight of the camera, and that's where the mirrorless camera, or compact system camera, comes in to change the game!

They keep the big sensors and interchangeable lenses of DSLR cameras but ditch the mirror to produce a smaller, lighter and simpler camera.

Powered by the latest technology, mirrorless cameras capture high quality photos and video in up to 4K.

3. Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality (VR) took centre-stage in 2016. We saw the Oculus Rift with other gaming solutions, and the affordable Day Dream headset from Google too. Giving a further push to VR were phone makers who started churning out branded VR headsets accompanying their phones.
We also saw launch events using a VR headset. Now, with a dozen VR headsets ready to enter the markets in 2017, it is one segment that is definitely something to watch out for and becoming increasingly popular in households.

4. Ecotank Printers

Epson has revolutionised household and home office printing in Australia and made it incredibly convenient by launching its EcoTank printer range that comes with up to two years of ink included.

Due to the integrated high-capacity ink tanks, ink is supplied continuously to the printer, so there are no cartridges to replace - making printing a hassle free experience. The use of ink bottles means there are no cartridges to change, ever!

5. HP Spectre (Rose Gold)

While the HP Spectre is aligned with a modern PC, we've put the gorgeous rose gold version of the Spectre in its own category because quite simply, it's in a league of its own.

The flexible HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop is a compact and practical solution for your portable computing needs, with the high gloss copper accent instantly adding a luxurious look and feel.
